Caught in the Vortex

This picture is me right now! Between family, holiday and revisions, I'm being sucked into the vortex. We had a great Thanksgiving at my parents' house. Yesterday, I made a huge dent in my shopping list by hitting the stores at 5 am. Now I need to buckle down and get the revisions done. I'm halfway through the book.

Of course, I've had a couple of cringing moments when reading sentences such as: The fresh air refreshed her. Yikes. What time in the wee hours of the morning was it when I wrote that! But things like that often slip through so it's great to have a chance to fix it.

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? What are you doing this weekend?

I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving. Good luck with the revisions.

This weekend is just for relaxing.

Have a good Saturday!

LOL... I hate lines like that! We all write them, though, at one time or another...

Hang in there.

Whew! You sound busy! I hope you're able to accomplish everything you've set out to do! This weekend, was supposed to be busy but my stupid cold is making it hard to want to get things done.
Have a great day!

Thanksgiving was nice but I had to leave early b/c my cousin was antsy and wanted to leave SUPER early to go meet up with friends for outlet shopping. (They were driving a few hours away?)
I didn't have pie but there's one waiting in the fridge.
Had a bug/the flu/something so didn't really eat (or keep down) anything today :\

I'm grateful our Thanksgiving was in October. It makes for an easier start to the holiday season. And while I love turkey dinners I'm not sure I'd be ready to do another just weeks after.

I hope everyone's holiday plans go smoothly.

Ah, the vortex. Been there a few times myself.

Wishing you success with the revisions. Hopefully they're nearly behind you by now. :)

We had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving. Too much food, lots of laughter and loads of happy memories. All good.

Just relaxing by the fireplace with a cup of tea and a good book today.

Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

I think we all have writing moments like that--sort of like when you are driving and suddenly can't remember the last mile or so.

Good for you for getting that shopping done. As for me--I avoid that 5am. Online shopping, girlfriend, online. :)

Get those revisions done so you can enjoy the season. I'm on the last 100 pages of proofs. Yeeha!

I've had a busy few days and am trying to do catch up lol. I cooked Thanksgiving dinner and it is exhausting but was very enjoyable. Then I celebrated my birthday with my immediate family with a movie and dinner and birthday cake that my daughter baked and some nice gifts.
