The Ultimate Price

On this Memorial Day, I thought I'd post a few videos I've come across this weekend. Please remember those who have sacrificed their lives and their loved ones who must live with that sacrifice so we can be free.

And finally this one (you'll see it again when my November release comes out):

Memorial Day

With the change in the weather here (think rain, rain and more rain), being outdoors on Memorial Day might not happen. Given I also have a sick kidlet, we'll likely be hanging around home most of the next three days. But that only gives us more time to think about what Memorial Day is all about and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for us.

This post, titled Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, on The Unknown Soldiers blog, sums it up nicely and is worth a read.

Soldiers' Angels Germany blog has some great ideas on how to Observe Memorial Day. Check out the post here.

I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Memorial Day

My manuscript is with my editor. I emailed in the early hours of this morning which brings a big sigh of relief as well as a few yawns.

But today isn't about me, it's about remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can live the life we do today.

Thank you! You have not been forgotten. You are loved. You are missed.

Here's a link to a site called Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat that has a Memorial Day post with several links about the animals who have served. As I posted on Facebook this weekend with a photo that I shared, soldiers come in all shapes and sizes. Some even have four legs.

I'll leave you with this video which I'd received a link to back in April and knew I'd want to post today.

Happy Memorial Day!

This picture reminds so much of Yoda when he was smaller. He still will lie down anywhere, including places he shouldn't!

Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend! A big thank you to all who have served our country and especially those who paid the ultimate price. Thanks and prayers to their families, too.

I'm taking it easy today and trying to get rid of this sinus infection once and for all. Hope to be back to normal and blog hopping sometime this week! Fingers crossed!

Honoring the Fallen

On this Memorial Day, I wanted to share this article about the Arlington Ladies, a group of women who honor the fallen by helping those they have left behind. Happy Memorial Day!
