Home For Christmas

It's only October, but I'm already in the Christmas mood. Why? This November I'll have two Christmas romances out!

I've mentioned the first...A Little Bit of Holiday Magic from Harlequin Romance. This is the final story in my Hood Hamlet Christmas Magic series.

Now I want to show you the cover from the second release. Home For Christmas is a Copper Mountain Christmas novella part of Tule Publishing's Montana Born imprint. The book will first be release digitally on Amazon, then a print version of the anthology with authors Jane Porter and Katherine Garbera via Amazon also.

Needless to say, I'm very excited. What better place to spend Christmas than in the mountains?

Mount Hood, Oregon & Copper Mountain, Montana.

I've started Christmas shopping. I bought my first present back in July. How about you? Or are you a last minute shopper?

My New Cover!

I wanted to share the cover for my upcoming November release, A Little Bit of Holiday Magic, the final book in my Hood Hamlet Christmas Magic series that's available for preorder!

Here's the back cover copy:

A new family…for Christmas?

All widow Grace Wilcox wants is a fresh start for her and her young son, Liam. When her truck spins off the icy road, her rescuer turns out to be the hottest firefighter in Hood Hamlet, and even wary Grace can't say no to his offer of help!

Bill Paulson has stuck to his no-dating rule so far this Christmas, but having Grace in his home is testing his chivalrous side to the limit! Her little boy is melting his heart, even asking for a new daddy from Santa….

But Grace has already loved and lost one hero. Can she really let herself get close to another?

I also had Hot Damn Designs add the cover to my Facebook page. If you haven't liked the page, please do. Now that I have more time will be hanging out more there:

I'm going to be doing giveaways in November and December to celebrate my book's release and Christmas! Be sure to sign up for my newsletter(you can do so on the right) because at least two giveaways will be for subscribers only!

June Cover Reveal

This is the cover for my upcoming June release. There are many dogs in it since the heroine is a dog handler.

Here's the back cover copy:

His pinstripe suit is normally his armor…

Becca Taylor has worked hard to overcome her troubled
past and start a new life. But when Caleb Fairchild marches
into her life, the instant attraction between them is the last
thing she needs!

CEO Caleb has learned the hard way not to suffer fools
and to be careful of whom to trust. Why should Becca,
gorgeous as she is, be any different? But he can’t help but
be drawn to her, to want to get close to her. So when
her secrets are blown out into the open, betrayal seems
inevitable. Unless the truth can start to crack the iron walls
he’s built around his heart.…

You can preorder it here on Amazon.

Hope you have a nice Friday. I'm hoping my sick kidlet is feeling better so we can at least enjoy one day of spring break!

My New Cover

This LOLcat made me smile this morning. I believe my cats think they've already achieved world domination at our house!

This morning, I woke up to an email with a link to the new cover of my upcoming November release, His Larkville Cinderella, book 5 of The Larkville Legacy. Here it is...

What do you think?

I think it's pretty. They've done a lovely job branding the Larkville Legacy continuity series with the flourishes at the top and the flash on the bottom.

I always remind myself whenever I see a cover that it's all about marketing and isn't supposed to match my image of the characters, but I must admit the martini glasses made me chuckle. I'm going to pretend they are holding champagne flutes instead.

Hope you have a nice Friday!

New Cover!

funny pictures - Mr Jingles cared nothing for the game, he was on a mission. The ball had to die.

This LOLcat brought back memories of various sporting events when an animal got loose on the field. But I always figured they ran crazily because of fear, not because they had a mission!

Speaking of sports, I received the cover to my soccer book that'll be out in May.

Here's the back cover copy:

The return of her favorite rebel…

Lucy Martin’s dream of marrying her Prince Charming might
have fallen apart, but she’s determined to make her soccer-mad
nephew’s dreams come true. But that means asking her old crush
Ryland James, the legendary bad boy of soccer, to coach her
nephew’s team.

Injured and ordered to polish his tarnished reputation, Ryland’s
looking for distraction. Coaching might be more involvement
than he likes, but with gorgeous Lucy offering cookies as a bribe
he can’t resist! This soccer superstar might have met his perfect
match…if he can convince the once-burnt, twice-wary Lucy to
get back in the game.…

I'm busy typing in revisions. It's coming along and is a stronger story after my editor's feedback. I just need a few more hours to get the final 70 pages inputted. I always end up rewriting more than what's in the revision letter. Once I finish inputting changes, I'll print the manuscript again and do another pass.

I also have to pack. I'm taking my son to his short-course swim championship meet aka "State" even though it's not quite the entire state. The two of us are going on our own as we did last year for Sectionals. It'll be nice to have some mom-son time!

Please Vote!

I received an email last night from the Cover Cafe. Christmas Magic on the Mountain is one of the ten finalists in the annual Holiday Favorites Cover Contest. If you have time, please go here to vote. One voter will be chosen to win a prize. You can vote until December 20th. Thanks!

In other news, really good news, my revisions for Not-So-Perfect Princess were accepted. I'm going to take another day off before getting the new due dates for the next Mount Hood/Hood Hamlet mountain rescuer story! I'm still pretty worn out and trying to catch up with all I let slide while writing and then jumping right into revisions!

Have a nice Wednesday!

A Tale of Two Covers

If you've noticed, there are some similarities with my two Hood Hamlet Christmas Magic book covers. If you want to hear what mountain rescuer heroes Jake Porter and Sean Hughes think about that, go here to read today's blog at LASR. If you want to know the question you'll need to answer about the blog to enter the $20 Amazon gift card giveaway, go here first. There's a link to get to the blog there.

Are you Black Friday shopping this?  I usually am in line before the stores open, but not this year. I'm working on my revisions this year, but I may check out a few of the online sales when I take breaks.

Covers

Since so many of you liked the link to decades of Mills & Boon romance covers last week, I thought I'd share a few more links having to do with romance covers.

The talented Liz Fielding has cover artist Larry Roibal on her blog this week. You can even ask him questions so be sure to pay a visit! If you're interested in seeing cover art without all the words on the cover check out this page on Larry's website.

Silhouette author Suzanne McMinn blogged about the infamous AFS (Art Fact Sheets). You can read her post here.

Okay, back to work for me. I need to finish up Chapter 2 so I can move on. I decided to do some rewriting last night so didn't get as far as I'd hope. Plus I fell asleep while working. I decided to call it a night at eleven. I didn't want to chance my iBook falling off my lap! Especially since I'm sharing that lap with not only my computer but an almost fifty pound dog. Yes, Chaos has decided my lap is where she wants to be. Especially when I'm writing. She's here now and I've got my computer off to the side.

So what's the strangest place/position you've ever fallen asleep?

100 Years of Mills & Boon

I write for Harlequin Mills & Boon. The Mills & Boon office is located in Richmond which is outside of London. 2008 marks the 100 year anniversary, the centenary, of the company. To celebrate, there have been special flashes on books, Dear Readers letters to mark the occasion and various events.

If you'd like to see a range of M & B romance covers over the decade's check out their facebook photo albums.

Do you have a favorite romance cover?
