I've got a lot going on this morning (think, writing) so instead of blogging today I thought I'd give you a couple of links to check out.
This one is from the Toronto Sun. It's an article (a love story!) about two Peregrine Falcons named Kendal and Quest, who are building a nest across from Harlequin Books. They are expecting baby falcons to arrive any day. A very sweet read! And an exciting time for birdwatchers!
The second link isn't so sweet, but it's worth a read if you want to draw your own conclusions about Greg Mortenson and his book Three Cups of Tea. In case you haven't been reading the news, Sixty Minutes did an expose about Mortenson and his bestselling non-fiction book being inaccurate on Sunday. There have also been questions raised about his charity Central Asia Institute (CAI).
If you go here to Byliner, you can download Jon Krakauer's Three Cups of Deceit for free until April 20th. After that date, Krakauer will donate his proceeds from sales to charity. In the report, Krakauer, who donated a significant amount of money to CAI, presents the evidence he's found against Mortenson.
If you want to get Mortenson's take on all this, Outside Magazine published this interview with him yesterday.
Have a good day!
