The first contest of 2009

It's hard to believe the first week of January is already over. We haven't done a lot, but the days just flew by.

Today we get back into the normal routine of activities except hubby is off for one more week. The company he works for had a three week shutdown over the holidays so he has one week left to go. He's managed to get a couple little things done around the house for me which has been great. I think I may have to come up with a few more Honey, dos for him to keep him busy so I can work on my JaNoWriMo project.

It's going well so far. Of course, the writing is quick and dirty. It'll need a lot of work once I'm done, but the point is getting the story on paper not making it perfect. And that I can do!

Okay, free book time! Here are your random numbers:

This week's free book winner, the first of 2009, is limecello. She won with a comment on the post My Side of the Bed. Fitting considering all she's been going through dogsitting the "beast." Limecello, please choose one book from the list here. Email me your choice along with your snail address. You can use the contact form on my website.

Last week's winner Virgina chose Julia Justiss' Most Unconventional Match. Hope you like the book, Virginia!

To enter the contest, just make a comment here on the blog. Every comment you make gives you one entry into the weekly free book contest, so comment often!

Congrats limecello!

I have been unable to get this grin off my face this morning. For the first time in 24 days, everyone is GONE!

Congrats limecello!!!

My hubby was also off a lot during the holidays. He works 12 hour shifts so he is off alot anyways. Its kind of nice when they go back to work. During the Christmas holidays he only had to work about two days. He also took vacation time during Thanksgiving. It is nice that he is back to work. Because sometimes he drives me crazy setting in front of the TV or sleeping all the time.

Congrats, Limecello.

My youngest just went back up to Edinboro where they are getting tons of snow. For some reason they start a week later than most colleges but the store that she works in opens back up today. She had to take my car back with her because hers just went to the shop today from her accident. I hate ice!!!!

Congrats, Limecello.

So glad to find you (I'm doing JaNo). Not only do I love LOLbeasts, but I would like to sell to Harlequin.

All I need is a really good book with a beginning, middle and end -- right?

Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm smellshorsey on JaNo.
