Happy Easter!
Wishing you blessings and joy! Here's a video of Kelley Mooney singing her lovely adaption of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. She received permission to rewrite the lyrics. Perfect for Easter. Worth a listen. Enjoy!

Friday Fun
I had links for you on Wednesday. I have videos for you today. When you have a few minutes check out my faves from the week:
1. This has gone viral big time. I saw it Wednesday morning when the views were still under 100K. My favorite Super Bowl video. Budweiser wins again this year with the #BestBuds ad. The romance writer in me hopes the horse trainer gets the girl in the next one!
2. This is another Super Bowl ad. You won't be misty-eyed or have your heart sigh with this one, but you may get a chuckle. This Chevy ad makes me think of the Bar V5 dude ranch in my novella Home For Christmas! Enjoy!
3. This one features Derrick Coleman, a football player for the Seattle Seahawks, who is playing in the Super Bowl. He's deaf and paid a visit to two fans in New Jersey. Such a class act! You can also watch the KOMO news clip here.
4. This video is a PSA for wine lovers, a helpful hint on what to do if you are without a wine opener. I have no idea if this works, but I'm curious enough to try it. Though not with an expensive bottle!
5. The final video brought tears to my eyes. It's a Guinness about two sisters who have competed for the US in the winter Olympics. So worth a watch. The problem is YouTube was pulling it due to some Olympic rules about ads from non-sponsors. I can't embed it, but here's the link to the AdWeek article where I watched it. I hope they can keep the video live somehow.
Have a great Friday and weekend!

Frozen Censored
A comedian Jake Vale has taken Frozen and added censor bleeps to clips from the Disney film rated PG. The result is pretty funny. My thirteen year old watched this clip with me. He was laughing so hard.
So let yourself be twelve or thirteen and really enjoy it!
I'm feeling better. Yay! But still trying to take it easy so I don't end up with something icky like pneumonia. Hope you are healthy and warm (for those of you getting dumped on by snow!)

Quiet
For the first time since Friday, I am alone. All three kids went back to school today. Whether they make it through the entire day, remains to be seen, but they've been fever free for two days. Yesterday, they didn't need naps so I said a little prayer and sent them off.
Needless to say, things have been a little crazy around here. My priority was the kids. I managed to get a little writing done, but not near what I should so today will be catch-up day.
The birthday on Monday turned out really well! We had a fun goodie bag hunt (11 bags full of items from the Dollar Tree hidden all over the downstairs by Rose's siblings), Subway for lunch and Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. Love that you can get take-out from almost everywhere now! We had chocolate cupcakes for dessert.
And before I get to work, I wanted to leave you with this performance by Jason Brown at this weekend's US National Figure Skating Championships. If you haven't seen this, it's worth a watch. Amazing!
Hope you enjoy your Wednesday. I plan to make the most of mine!

The Engineer's Guide to Cats 2.0
It's not quite Christmas yet. Thank goodness because I still have presents to wrap and a book to finish! So I thought I'd post this sequel to a video I shared a couple years ago. Enjoy!
Hope you have a great day! I'll be writing, wrapping and putting on the finishing touches for Christmas around here!

Back to Normal
My daughter showed me this last night and I wanted to share with you! Fun and clever
Not blogging for a few days during the blog hop felt weird, but the timing couldn't have been more perfect. My two daughters also came down with strep on Friday. My so-called writing weekend didn't turn out as I expected. I'm so ready to put all these illnesses and antibiotics behind us!
We finally managed to get some decorations on the tree. Only thing missing are candy canes, then I'll take a picture! The clock that sings Christmas Carols on the hour went up last night. Now it's beginning to feel more like the holidays. Advent is a time of preparation for us. We really don't do much celebrating until Christmas Eve, but we do so until Epiphany, enjoying each of the 12 Days of Christmas.
How are your holiday preparations going?

Sick
I have not been feeling this week. Something is going around and my youngest brought it home. A head cold that just hangs on. Needless to say, I've been writing and taking it easy. But I saw this clip this morning and wanted to share. Long, but worth the time if you want a smile or laugh. Enjoy!
Hope you're well and stay healthy.

Monday links and shares
I'm busy writing so I thought I'd share a couple links I came across this weekend that I enjoyed.
The first is about parenting, and is from The Matt Walsh blog. Click here. I remember one of Rose's tantrums. It was in Target, and we stuck it out in spite of the glares and mutterings of other customers. Needless to say I really loved this blog!
Another is a commercial from Thailand's True. There are subtitles, but even without them you could figure out what was going on. Definitely worth three minutes of your time. But fair warning...tissue alert!
My friend Al sent me this link to a Buzzfeed article titled "15 Types of Readers, As Told By Cats and Dogs." Love, love, love it!
Do have any links you want to share?

After the HEA
Romance writers talk about the HEA, the happily ever after. I got a kick out of this YouTube clip that talks about Disney movie HEAs, only what happens after the ever after.
The kid who made this is very talented. Clever, too! I really hope he tackles more Disney movies. I imagine Mulan and Tangled could be fun ones for him to do! Not to mention Snow White!
Hope you have a nice Monday! I'm starting a swim clinic today. Time to get in shape!

Gangnam Style Christmas
My hubby sent me a link this morning to an article on The Daily Caller called "Gangnam Style" Christmas. It has videos of the top 10 houses decorated Gangnam Style! It's pretty cool. But if you don't have time to peruse all of them, here's house #1.
Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Guest Blogging
Author Roxanne Rustand invited me to tell her readers about Miss Mousie today. You can read my post here.
I've been busy working on Bachelor of the Year. I knew the end of the week was going to be bad time-wise, and that starts today. Carpooling, 3 hour registration at the alternative school, high school swim meet an hour away. When does summer start again?
Harlequin author Christina Hollis sent me a link to this cat video this morning. I'd never seen it before, but I sure laughed. I didn't have time to do a LOLcat, so I'm posting this instead. I hope you enjoy it.
Have a great Thursday!

50 Ways to Say Goodbye
So my back door into embedding LOLcats was slammed shut this morning. I even tried making my own to see if it would come up. Nope. If you want to see it just click on the link. But I have to get my daughter to freshman orientation so I don't have time to mess around any more this morning.
So....
I thought I'd post this music instead. The song just makes me smile. The lyrics are so funny. It's by Train and called 50 Ways to Say Goodbye. Enjoy!
Have a great day! We're entering a new phase in our life...high school. It should be interesting!

Titanium
see more
I heard Titanium by David Guetta featuring Sia on the radio and fell in love with the song. I listened to it yesterday when I needed a boost while cutting all those words.
I checked out the video on YouTube and it's is pretty cool. A mini-movie! Have a look...
I managed to cut enough words from my book. I'm planning to do final read-thru later today and then I plan to email the manuscript to my editor. But first I need to sleep. I'm running on about 4.5 hours of sleep over the past two days. I need to be sharp to catch typos and what not.
Fingers crossed everything goes according to plan!

Sci-fi Geekiness
see more Lolcats and funny pictures
I'm a total geek so it's no surprise I thought this YouTube clip was so funny. Take a look and make sure you listen to the lyrics.
The fact I can get so many of sci-fi references probably takes my nerdiness and fangirl status to a new level. Oh, well, my kids will tell you just how uncool I am!
No blog tour stops today! But if you comment here, you're entered into my website contest. I've decided to have my oldest kidlet take a picture of all the books winners can choose from. I'll probably need a few pics, but that will be faster than me typing them in. With a manuscript due March 7th, I have little free time right now.
Are you busy or are things relaxed? I'm looking forward to relaxing on March 8th!

When a romance hero sends a Valentine...
This came across my newsfeed on Facebook yesterday. It's brought to you by Tiny Prints. Clever and funny. Enjoy!
Gotta love the fan blowing in his face! Remember, Valentine's Day is in less than two weeks! Don't forget to buy or make your sweetie a card!

Another winner!
I emailed my revisions last night. Huge sigh of relief. Now the waiting begins. I hope my editor like the manuscript!
I came across this on a loop I belong to. The title is SO YOU WANT TO WRITE A NOVEL. It's really funny, especially since people have said similar things to me when they find out I'm a writer.
It really put a smile on my face!
It's time to announce the weekly winner. Sorry for the delay, but I had to be somewhere early this morning and just got home. No time to blog! Here are your random numbers:
15
Timestamp: 2010-11-29 21:47:56 UTC
The winner is Dru! She posted a comment on A Tale of Two Covers. Dru, please send me your email address via the contact button above. I mentioned under my contest link above, but I'll mention it again. I'm going to send all the gift cards out at once next week when the contest is over. It's just easier on me that way!
This is the final week of the Amazon gift certificate giveaway. There won't be another contest for a while so be sure to enter. Each comment on the blog gets you an entry. For more info, click on the contest link above.

Cat People
see more Lolcats and funny pictures
Two of my fave things: Star Wars and cats!
The following two YouTube clips came out a couple of weeks ago, but I missed them. The first is an ad from Ikea where the released 100 cats into one of their warehouses in England. It's very sweet.
The next is another video, but this one shows things with the cats didn't go as smoothly as the commercial makes it look!
Of course, it brings back memories of the classic cat herding ad.
Hope you have a great Wednesday!
