This was the first picture taken Tuesday morning. The sun was shining. The temperature was warm. Not a cloud in the sky. A perfect day for hitting the slopes. We were somewhere near the Pucci runs/lift when we took it.
We were talking about Nick and Paul when this shot was taken. It was such a beautiful day for a climb. Hubby said he hoped he had that kind of weather when he goes up. We had taken the Magic Mile chair lift up. That's where we spent the morning skiing since it had been closed due to the weather on Monday.
In this shot, you can see the Palmer Lift going up the Palmer Glacier. In the summer, the US ski team trains here. Where you see skiers and snowboarders is one of the runs off the Magic Mile lift.
One of our favorite runs was on the far side of the Magic Mile lift. It was a long cruiser type run that went around the back of the lodge. This was the side our room was on.
Here I am with my new skis! My nine year old thinks I'm a cool mom now because I have Roxy skis! They are actually freestyle skis, but work great on the groomed runs. I totally surprised and shocked hubby, however, by going over a jump when we came to a terrain park on one of the runs. It was just a little jump.
